The New Neohomes are out. Many people hate them (bandwidth hog, RAM hog, exposing the hideous weaknesses of your internet connection and crappy old computer). Many people love them (so very 3-dimensional and pretty). There is also a lot of confusion over item compatibility, since some items don't work in the new homes, and we can presume that some new items will not work in the old homes some time in the future.
But in the meantime there are a million bargains to be had, investments to be made, and deals to be completed.. First off, if you just accept the fact that you are going to have to switch to a new Neohome eventually, you can empty out your old Neohome. You can either keep the furniture, hoping that it will eventually be compatible, or you can sell it off, and buy things that are ready to go now. You can also sell your old home and property to raise some cash for your homecoming shopping spree.
The items that are SUPPOSED TO BE Neohome v2 compatible are marked with a small black house logo in the bottom corner. Some of these, however, are not yet able to be placed. We can hope that they will be soon???

Here is a list of stores that sell furniture for the new Neohomes. Keep in mind that some of them also sell furnies that only fit in the old homes. Buyer beware, and keep checking the guides above to see which work.
1. The Neocash Mall. This is another thing that irks some players -- a lot of the furniture can only be bought with Neocash, which you have to buy with Paypal or a Target or Wal-Mart Neocash card. Get a part-time job and spend your real cash.
2. The Neohomes NP superstore. Here they sell the five different colors of starters sets (Simple Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Purple). These types of furniture are also given away to each player when they start their Neohome.
3. Gardening Supplies store. These are outdoor pieces (although all of the items can be placed inside as well, houseplants!!).
4. You can also find specific furniture in some of the Worlds. Try the following list of shops (some may or may not have New Furniture available)

Kreludan Homes
Tyrannian Furniture
Some furniture is only available from certain events or promotions. These are conveniently marked on Autumnxxx's page. These include the Chia Print Chair, which was given away two years ago on the Advent Calendar, and also some furniture that can only be won from certain games.
It's a lot of shopping. I don't really spend much time rearranging my Neohome, since it can crash my browser. But I am spending lots of time investing in rare and retired pieces (they can only go up in value!!), and I am also buying lots of the Simple sets, since they are being given away and many players are selling them cheap right now. Just be sure to check the prices at the Superstore and don't pay more for them elsewhere.
